Ladybug Festivities

One of my sister's friends contacted me last week to see if I could create a couple of items for her daughter's birthday party.  She had seen some cute favor tags and a birthday banner on etsy that had ladybugs on them.  She was going to order them but the seller was already booked and did not have enough time to create them.  So, I told her I would make them.  I used different ribbon because I had to use what I could find, but they turned out really cute if I do say so myself.  These are the tags that go on the favors:

And this is part of the banner that will say Happy Birthday Faith:

Making Waves Swap Party Invite

Since my Valentine Swap Party was so much fun, my scrappin' buddies are going to each host one as well.  I recently received the "invitation" to a beach themed swap being hosted by my friend Susan.  Instead of creating a jar of embellishments for each person, we are each filling one bucket.  We will come with our bucket but leave with a bucket created by a friend.  Exciting, right???  I thought I would share the cute buckets that Susan gave us.  She bought them in the dollar aisle of Target.  There were a variety of colors but not the color she wanted.  So....she painted them turquoise, of course!  Each bucket had white ribbon strung through a couple of holes.  She replaced the white with cute matching ocean inspired ribbon and added glittered seashells and fish chipboard shapes that she cut with one of her die cutting machines:

I have started to fill my bucket with a few purchased items, and I am working on making several items as well.  I will be back soon to show you my completed bucket and all of its contents. Be sure to visit me again!
