Crop Kits

A few weeks ago, my girlfriends and I went to Nashville for the Creating Keepsakes Convention at the Opryland Hotel.  We have been several times.  A couple of times we went to the one in Charlotte instead of Nashville.  I highly recommend it!  I learn many new techniques in the classes each time, and we have a blast at the vendor fair.  However, we do not participate in the evening crops.  I am sure they are great fun, but I have to save money somewhere, and we love to go out and eat!  This year, we decided to have our own crop in our hotel room.  After grabbing some Thai food, we headed back to the hotel to create some fun layouts.  Each of us put together a kit for each person to make a two page layout.  So, I came home with several additional layouts ready for photos and a title!  Check them out!

The layout below is by my friend Amanda.  We stamped and stickled and used the cutest glittery leaves.  It is perfect for those great Fall photos:

The next layout is by my friend Suzanne.  She actually scraplifted it from a layout in a magazine.  I will have to get the details for you so you can look up the original.  It uses folded flowers and Technique Tuesday flower petal stamps.

Last, but not least, is my own layout.

I made a red satin flower for each person.  I found several tutorials on youtube.  It is amazing what you can find on there!  Just do a search for fabric flowers!

I also included kraft colored file folders on the page made with a Sizzix die.  I thought each person could embellish them their way with a photo or paper or perhaps with journaling.  They open up which gives extra space!

Now, I just need to get some photos and journaling on these layouts......
