Our colors were pink and black with white polka dots. I used white platters and some pink fabric I had from another party and bought a small piece of the black and white polka dot fabric. I was trying to be frugal as always.
The black balloons are from Hobby Lobby, and the two princess balloons are from the Dollar Tree.
A closer look at the table top:
I used my cricut and scrapbooking supplies to create a few personalized details. First, I created the two profile signs for the front of the table. I put the girl's names on them.
Secondly, we created some cupcake topppers using the cricut again. We attached black streamer to the back of each one creating a ruffle. Simply cut a length of steamer and fold it in half. Run adhesive tape on the back of the circle pleat the streamer as you attach it. Cut off any excess and add a second circle to the back so that the toppper is two sided.
Next, I added ribbon, a paper flower, and a rhinestone to inexpesive clear cups. Here we filled them with stawberry wafers, but you could use them for drinks or fruit, etc.
For party favors, I purchased some small pink and white popcorn boxes from Walmart. We attached more homemade medallions to the front of each one and added the same black pleated steamer to the top inside of each box. As you can see, one of the fillers was a pinwheel. Though our colors included pink, we had a few boys attending. So, we gave them blue pinwheels in white boxes. The pinwheels were three for a dollar at the Dollar Tree, where we also bought candy bracelets and ring pops for the boxes.
Since our party was in the park, we set up a blanket for the girls and one for the boys where they could eat and play. The girls had plastic jewelry, crowns, and a tea set. The boys had bubbles, bug catchers, and airplanes to assemble. Most of these items came from the Dollar Tree also.
As a side note, the airplanes were huge and were a big hit. My sons decorated theirs the next day with markers and stickers!
LOVE THIS PARTY! I was in need of inspiration for a polka dot party! This did the trick ☺ Thank you for sharing ☺
