Well, as I mentioned a couple of posts back, my friend Susan decided to host our second scrapbooking swap entitled Making Waves. Obviously, it was a beach themed swap party. We also picked up two new members for the party! The summer has been soooo busy that we just got around to having our party last weekend. Sometimes, it is difficult to find a day when all seven of us can get together, but we finally did. I completed my bucket for the swap pretty quickly, and I made sure to include a couple of handmade items.
The first handmade item was a set of three mini tags. I stamped and inked them. You can buy a pack of 100 at Office Depot. They are resonably priced and last a while!
The second item I made was a set of tickets. I ordered several colors from a seller on etsy. They were blank. I simply used a tiny seahorse stamp, some rub on letters, stickles to make waves and a yellow bead. I sprayed the whole strip with gold Shimmer spray. CUTE!
By the way, I am cheap! All of my bucket items were $1.00 or less. Combined with my handmade items, I was very satisfied with the results:
Susan, our hostess, gifted us with some cute brightly colored flip flops and these cute scrapbook page kits. I can't wait to "dive in" to them and create a great page!
Last but not least, the foodand the dining table! We enjoyed a scrumptious and beautiful meal before our trade and our scrapping!
Hope you make a splash with your projects as well!
